Welcome to the June Chatterbox Quilts’ newsletter!

It’s summer and time for vacation and travelling. I hope you’re enjoying your summer so far and maybe even getting some quilting done, in between gardening and enjoying the outdoors. I’m currently on vacation in Ontario, spending time with friends and family.

What happened this month

I attended Quilt Canada 2025 in Toronto (Mississauga), Ontario and was in the Janome booth sharing the Janome love.

I demonstrated how to use free motion quilting and decorative stitches to create a beautiful whole cloth wall hanging. As quilters we don’t often use the decorative stitches on our sewing machines but this project is the perfect opportunity to use them.

Tip

At quilt shows, inspiration is everywhere—and you might even spot your next project. When snapping photos, don’t forget to capture the quilt’s description too. It’s the easiest way to remember pattern names and quilting details later.
